Sampler — the pads play samples (so do J4 and the Kit); no pattern runs. For a beat: then ▶ — or ▶ alone for the last beat
pads —
Unsaved kit: these sounds live in the module's memory only — a power-off loses them. Save the kit as a set to keep it.
Press to play a key as a CV note would (several fingers at once); ⋯ in a pad's corner opens its settings (gain, tune, how it plays, its envelope and choke group) without playing it. In Play what you play is written into the loop; in Pads nothing is written. A pad lights whenever its key is called — from here, the CV jacks or the panel. Drop audio files on a pad to load them into it (several files fill that pad and the next ones): mono or stereo, as the file is — no trim, and no normalise unless normalise drops is ticked (peak to −1 dBFS).

One keymap: J4 = the key. 0 V is key 0 (C1), one key per semitone up to key 23 (B2); anything below 0 V plays key 0. The keys are the Kit tab's table — a key plays its slice of the break, its marker or its recording.

Click a key to see its material below (on a phone, ● and ✕ act on the selected key). An empty key plays its span of the break; a recorded key plays its take. ● arms a take into that key (the next gate on J6 / the panel gesture starts it); ✕ clears a recording.
Keys: tap one to hear it and see it below · drag a key onto another to swap (a prompt when the target is taken; magenta when a recording would lose its only key) · long-press a key, then drop or tap another, to copy it there · drag a slice up from the waveform onto a key to assign it.

Waveform: the grid's boundaries run along the top lane, the markers along the bottom one. Tap inside a marker to split it there (snapped to an onset within 12 ms); tap a grid slice to select it · drag a lollipop below the wave to move a grid boundary or a marker's start (the selected marker has a square end handle too); it plays from the new point as you go · a second finger or Shift turns the magnets off · double-tap a marker's handle to merge · long-press a handle or a slice for delete / copy / promote · hold a marker's end handle still to loop its tail · the strip at the bottom pans and zooms.

“Held” is memory a replaced, deleted or undone recording (or a trimmed edge) still takes. Reclaim moves the recordings down over it — nothing that plays changes — and a drop that needs the room reclaims on its own. A saved set holds only what plays.
Looper
—events on the bar
Play's loop-record writes what you play onto the bar; the count comes from the state (byte 176). Undo and Clear take the same path as the panel's B2 / B3 in Play.
Set — the break, its recorded keys, the options and the loop, on the card —
A set is Audiothurgist/sets/<name>.wav (PCM16, both planes when the material is stereo, the slice starts as cue points) beside <name>.json. Sets also appear in the Sample list as “name [set]” and load from P5 + B3 like any file. Saving refuses while a take runs.
Card — add breaks —
Drop audio files hereWAV (16/24-bit or float), AIFF, MP3, FLAC, OGG — anything this browser can open. Each becomes Audiothurgist/breaks/<name>.wav: 48 kHz, PCM16, stereo kept, the first 17 s.
The browser decodes and converts the file; the module receives it whole and then writes it to the card itself (P5's ring fills meanwhile) — the break keeps playing and the clock keeps time throughout. One file at a time; refused while a set saves or loads, a take runs or a file loads. The module only reads its Audiothurgist folder.

preset
Ten channels on one sample clock from the firmware's rings: out L/R and in L/R (J1/J2, AC-coupled) at 48 kHz, and the six jacks J3–J8 DC-coupled at ±5 V, 2 kHz — in or out (an output jack reads back what it drives). One snapshot per frame, so every trace starts at the same instant. Click a channel to show or hide it — J1/J2 show themselves while a signal is present. A jack's label is its role under the current jack map, with its present voltage.
Options —
Labels come from the module's descriptor; a change is written live (GET_LIVE → BLOB to live) and is not saved until a preset is saved from Settings or /program.
